10 Gourmet Coffee Recipes

Mix these yummy gourmet coffee recipes and creamers for yourself to enjoy or put them in pretty jars to give as gifts all year long. They make great gifts for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas or as housewarming gifts. They’re also a great “just because I care and know you are going through something difficult” gift.

French Vanilla Creamer

14 oz. milk (whole, lowfat, or skim – It doesn’t matter which you choose.)
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
a mason jar (quart is perfect)

Mix all ingredients in a jar. Shake until well blended.

Variations:

Add 1 tsp. almond extract and 1/2 tsp orange extract for cappuccino.
Add 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp almond extract for amaretto.
Add flavored syrups to taste for additional flavors.

Chocolate AlmondCreamer

14 oz. milk (whole, lowfat, or skim – It doesn’t matter which you choose.)
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. almond extract
1 Tbsp. cocoa
a mason jar (quart is perfect)

Mix all ingredients in a jar. Shake until well blended.

Coconut Delight Coffee Creamer

1 cup coconut cream
1 Tbsp. vanilla

Mix and store in the refrigerator. Add 1 Tablespoon to each cup of coffee.

Minted Coffee Mix

3/4 cup coffee creamer, powdered
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup instant coffee
1/4 cup cocoa
dash of salt
4 peppermint candies, crushed

Mix the ingredients and add 2-3 Tbsp. of the mix to one cup of boiling water. Adjust the amount of mix to your taste.

Orange Spice Coffee

2/3 cups instant coffee
1 cup sugar
dried crushed orange peel
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Mix everything and add 2-3 Tbsp. of the mix to one cup of boiling water. Adjust the amount of mix to your taste.

Vienna Coffee Mix

1 cup sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
11/2 cups non-dairy creamer
1 1/2 cups powdered milk
4 Tbsp. Cocoa
1 cup instant coffee

Mix the ingredients and add 2-3 Tbsp. of the mix to one cup of boiling water. Adjust the amount of mix to your taste.

Cinnamon and Spice Coffee

2/3 cup instant coffee
1 1/3 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice

Mix the ingredients and add 2-3 Tbsp. of the mix to one cup of boiling water. Adjust the amount of mix to your taste.

Toffee Coffee

1 cup instant coffee
1 cup non-dairy creamer
1 cup brown sugar

Mix ingredients and add 2-3 Tbsp. mix to one cup boiling water. Adjust the amount of mix to your taste.

Italian Mocha Espresso

1/2 cup instant coffee
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/4 cups cocoa powder

Mix everything and add 2-3 Tbsp. of the mix to one cup of boiling water. Adjust the amount of mix to your taste.

Orange Cappuccino

1 cup instant coffee
11/2 cups sugar
2 cups powdered milk
1 tsp. dry orange peel

Mix the ingredients and add 2-3 Tbsp. mix to one cup boiling water. Adjust the amount of mix to your taste.

Thank you so much for providing these, Tawara and readers! My niece was recently diagnosed as autistic so we want to limit the chemicals to which she is exposed. This will help us (and be more convenient and cheaper! Isn’t that so often the way?) and delight her!

This year, I made the candied stirring spoons that you suggested on this site a few weeks back. You know, the ones that are dipped in chocolate and then have goodies or marshmallows added to them, and are then individually wrapped. They were easy, elegant, inexpensive and just special enough for Christmas. I bet they would be perfect with a batch of your gourmet coffee mixes for a nice adult Christmas gift, without risking a sugar overload. Thank you for your ideas, recipes and all the feedback from everyone.

Another gift for the person with everything is an experience. Play “That game” with them. Take them to see a movie or watch a favorite show with them. If they like kids, bright them. If not don’t. Either way ask, because they may have a headache that day.

    I know you were asking Sherry about this but in case she doesn’t get you answered it probably doesn’t get lumpy because coffee doesn’t lump up like flour or something but what you might do instead is just make the coffee and add a couple of drops of the flavoring to that. That way if you ever need to use the plain coffee you will be able too.

  It is pretty easy to make Laurie this is a general recipe that you can adapt to your tastes and is one of those things you can change most of the amounts to fit your own taste so feel free to add or take away on this one.
  Pumpkin Spice Creamer
  1 cup of half and half – you can use milk or half milk and cream or something like that)
  2 Tbsp. pumpkin puree (not pie filling that has already been seasoned)
  1 tsp. pumpkin spice (here is our homemade version of Pumpkin spice if you would like that)
  2 Tbsp. of brown sugar or maple syrup
  Mix and warm all in saucepan or in microwave. Will store 5 days in fridge. All the ingredients can be adjusted to your taste.
