Aloha Stadium is Hawaii’s largest outdoor arena, replacing the Honolulu Stadium (hawaii.gov) (1926-1975). Aloha Stadium has become a Gathering Place where the spirit of achievement is nourished by the thrill of competition. The special venue is a place where everyone can share their cultural diversity with pride and a feeling of Aloha. Events at the stadium include sporting events as well as concerts, carnivals, markets, festivals, auto shows, and other seasonal events. The stadium is home to the University of Hawaiʻi Warriors football team. Other sporting events at Aloha Stadium include professional football, baseball, soccer, boxing, motocross, mud races, and tractor pulls.
When the stadium opened back on September 12, 1975, it was one of the first stadiums in the country to offer movable sections supporting configurations for football, soccer, and baseball. Over the decades, Aloha Stadium has welcomed soccer star Pele, NFL Pro Bowl and Hula Bowl, the Pan-Pacific Championship Soccer Tournament, and countless other sell-out crowds at sporting events in rugby, skateboarding, boxing, and lots more. Fun fact: the highest seat in the stadium is as high as a ten-story building.
In addition to sporting events, the Stadium hosts a multitude of festivals, concerts, and many other types of events that attract visitors from around the world. In addition to the Swap Meet & Marketplace every week, you can enjoy concerts, consumer expos, community fairs, and more. Musical performers in all genres have been welcomed, including Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Rolling Stones, Ziggy Marley, and many, many more.
Aloha Stadium (1975-2023) – Mahalo for the memories
Located in Central Oʻahu for the past 47 years, Aloha Stadium has been Hawaii’s largest outdoor arena. Beginning in 2023, the historic facility will transform into the New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED). For more info see NASED: New Stadium construction 2023-2026 below.

NASED: New Stadium construction 2023-2026
O‘ahu is planning a new mixed-use real estate development to create a community and entertainment district on the existing 98-acre Aloha Stadium site in Hālawa. The New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District (NASED) will include two primary projects, the Stadium Project and the Real Estate Project.
Demolition of the existing stadium and construction of a new multi-use stadium is expected to commence on site in 2024. The Real Estate Project is planned over a span of years, with current projections at 20 years for the completion of all real estate development. However, an initial portion will be complete and operational at the same time the new Aloha Stadium opens.
NASED will celebrate Hawaii’s unique culture and inspire Aloha for the community and visitors alike. The development will be a live-work-play-thrive community and destination, with a new multi-purpose stadium as the centerpiece. Note: NASED is the working title for the district. Prior to opening, it is expected to rename the district.

Join Aloha Stadium for one last goodbye.It will be a fun filled day for the entire family as you stroll through 47 years of memories. Enjoy a self-guided tour through stadium memorabilia featuring items from The Old Queen Street Stadium Museum, past concerts, professional sporting events, University of Hawaii games, and Athlete uniforms including Colt Brennan, Timmy Chang, and more! Fans and Keiki will be able to live the game day experience one last time, featuring pre-game activities followed by half-time games, giveaways, and entertainment throughout the event.
Food and retail vendors will be on hand. Food trucks will offer iconic stadium foods, specialty drinks, and beer. Retail vendors will offer limited edition items that will be keepsakes for years to come, along with hundreds of vendors at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace.
